Scorpions are Hostile Mobs that have a chance of poisoning the player when they attack them. They can climb up vertically, making walls useless. There are four different species of Scorpion - red, green, brown and blue. Brown can spawn anywhere, green spawn in jungles, blue spawn on any snow and cause a slow-down effect on the player who is stung, and the red scorpions have fire stings, and they spawn in the Nether. Sometimes, juvinile scorpions spawn when an adult scorpion is killed.
in version 4.2.0 the scorpions got a new model and more:
the orange scorpion (the normal one) is just poison you.
the blue one spawn in cold places and give the player
slowness effect.
the black one spawns in cave and give the player confusion effect.
the red one spawns in the nether and set the player on fire.
