Hide is a versatile crafting material primarily used to craft hide armor. It is a common drop of many creatures when killed.

Obtaining

Bears

All four types of bears may drop up to 2 pieces of hide upon death.

Boars

Boars drop up to 2 pieces of hide upon death.

Elephants and mammoths

Elephants or mammoths have a chance to drop 2 pieces of hide upon death.

Usage

Hide can be used to make hide armor, which has the same protection value as leather armor. It can also be used to craft an elephant harness and elephant chest. It takes 24 pieces of hide to craft a full set of hide armor.

A single piece of hide can be converted into leather.
