Right-clicking anywhere with a kitty bed in hand will place the kitty bed onto the ground.

Usage

A kitty eating in a kitty bed.

Kitty beds are used for when a kitty is hungry, and it will find any bed nearby to eat out of it. Other than for eating, kitty beds can also be used for the breeding of kitties. A kitty bed can be returned to the player's inventory by right-clicking on it with any pickaxe when it is on the ground. Kitty beds can be filled up with either pet food or a bucket of milk by right-clicking on it.

Coloured kitty beds

By default, kitty beds are white, but the color can be changed by using any of the 15 Minecraft dyes. Colored wool can be also be used, (for example, using red wool on a kitty bed will give you a red kitty bed).

Tips

• Be sure to fill up the bed often, or else the kitty will become aggressive towards you.
• If you don't have the necessary resources for making pet food, use a whip on the kitty to make it sit so it doesn't always end up hungry. This will also save you time if you want to get fish or porkchops to make pet food.
  • Milk can be used as a cheaper alternative, as you can get an unlimited supply from cows and female goats.

Trivia

• Like litter boxes, kitty beds are invulnerable to damage.
• It's possible to fill up a kitty bed with pet food or milk if a kitty bed is on your head.
